Rebuilding Alliance

RESULT HIGHLIGHTS

A teammate and I worked with the non-profit organization Rebuilding Alliance to design an iOS mobile app flow, a website landing page, and print materials for the Brighten the Future campaign, which raises funds for sending solar lights to children in the Gaza Strip.

Our main objectives for this project included:

Mobile

  • Designing a social sharing campaign flow that allows users to share a donation link or a photo of the solar light they received during the donation process.

  • Designing a donation flow that allows users to donate solar lights.

Desktop

  • Designing a landing page that provides users with detailed information about the cause.

Print

  • Designing flyers and a roll-up banner to be used by Rebuilding Alliance at a pop-up exhibition stand to promote the campaign and sell solar lights.

PROJECT BACKGROUND
PROCESS

Users can share the challenge via Twitter, Facebook, email, or Instagram.

Users can choose a photo of their solar light to share by either taking a photo or from selecting a photo from an existing album.

Users can learn more about this challenge by swiping across the media gallery and viewing a photo, video, or a related article.

Users can learn more about this challenge and how they can provide their support.

  • Interviews & Survey - We created an interview script and survey to learn more about our target users and conducted research.

  • Competitive Analysis - We evaluated 4 companies with similar mobile apps across a range of different aspects, including target audience, app features, user ratings, user downloads, platform availability, and design strengths/weaknesses.

  • Iterative Prototyping - We created a lo-fi wireframe and a hi-fi prototype of the desktop site, as well as a mid-fi and hi-fi prototype of the mobile app.

  • Usability Testing with Mobile App Prototypes - We conducted usability testing with our mobile app prototype.

  • Created a style guide - We developed a style guide for the mobile app to ensure that there was consistency across colors, buttons, font sizes, etc.
